Tawan WATTUYA :
"When water beats"
03/03/2014 - 20/04/2015
From March 3 to April 20, 2015 for the first time in France Artetplus shows the work of Thai artist Tawan WATTUYA in a solo exhibition, « When water beats » which includes several series of the artist from 2008 to 2010.
Born in Bangkok in 1973, Tawan WATTUYA is a reference in the Thai contemporary art scene. Since his beginnings in the 2000s, his works question Thai society's codes where cynisism often coexists with beauty.
The exhibition « When water beats » presents for the first time to the French public several Artist series offering a unique vision of his work.
His paintings, inspired by images taken from local and social media, show the quest for identity of a society in search for a model.
Expressing himself mainly by the watercolor and the oil, his provocative art explores with freshness the flaws of Thai society and of human condition.
