"When water beats"
03/03/2014 - 20/04/2015
OPENING SATURDAY, MARCH 21 FROM 2PM TO 7PM

From March 3 to April 20, 2015 for the first time in France Artetplus shows the work of Thai artist Tawan WATTUYA in a solo exhibition, « When water beats ».

His watercolors, often provocative and inspired by images taken from local and social media, explore with freshness the flaws of society and human condition where cynisism often coexists with beauty.

Born in Bangkok in 1973, Tawan Wattuya  is a reference in the Thai contemporary art scene. Since his beginnings in the 2000s, his artworks question Thai society's codes and show the quest for identity of a society in search for a model.

The exhibition « When water beats » brings together for the first time in France a selection of works from the series of 2008 and 2010, when the artist was launched internationally. Exclusively for the gallery, the artist will present in preview his latest serie.
