More than an art gallery ...
The work of Stephanie Malossane is inspired by all the light effects, the influence of elements, the images in movement, the layers of Time, the Nature, the fusion between Man and Nature, far away travel ideas which appear abstract from distance and as very small figures closely.
Stephanie uses a unique painting technique mixing oil and alternative photographic processes based on original 19th century recipes.
More recently she has developed a phosphorescent technique that makes her works partially visible at night, as for example in the « moon » series realized in round format canvases. The historical photographic techniques she uses in her artistic approach, such as cyanotype, translate a refined perception of movement, a notion of ephemeral between space and time, between light and memory.
The recent images are the result of this alchemy of oil and various substances, which act as a revealer sensitive to the moment of light. Stéphanie has also developped a series of limited-edition photographs printed on fine archival art paper.
